Exploring pattern - printmaking course at The Huguenot Museum
Taking inspiration from the museum's collection and James Leman's fabric designs you will be taken on an exploration of pattern and learn different printing techniques to produce sample wallpaper and fabric.
No previous printing experience necessary.
Please bring an apron or painting shirt and a sketch book and pencils.
This workshop includes all printing materials, lunch and refreshments.

Explore pattern design and make sketches of the museum's collection
Decide on design using sketches and create a sample piece of wallpaper using linocut to produce a repeat pattern and overlay several colours.

Set up screens and create a sample piece of fabric using screen printing techniques to produce a repeat pattern and overlay two colours.
