Despite this year's Medway Open Studios being cancelled, the wonderful people who organise the event are continuing to celebrate Medway's creativity and have taken the festival online. Yey! Sun prints, cyanotypes or blueprints are created placing natural elements on light sensitive paper and exposing it to the sun's rays. They say it's science but it feels like magic!

This printmaking technique works on the basis that oil and water don't mix. Black and white photos are transferred to the gelli plate and then printed onto colourful backgrounds for pop-art inspired prints.
