topsy-turvy print & stitch a flag family workshop
I was thrilled to team up with the lovely Jenni Burrows for what has probably been my favourite workshop this year.
I got to combine my love of vintage fabric, recycling and embroidery with printing and showing families how it is accessible to all ages whatever the budget.
The topsy-turvy family workshop was inspired by the Mad Hatter's Tea Party where everyone printed with an embroidery hoop and drew with their needle!
Faded vintage fabric was printed, embellished and turned into a flag, each one as unique as its creator.
And the venue couldn't have been more perfect. We were privileged to hold the sell-out workshops at the newly opened Sun Pier House gallery and tea rooms. After stopping for tea and cake it was lovely to see the children running about on Sun Pier shouting and waving their flags to the river.
