 PRINT & PROSECCO
@ STUDIO 7

Print & Prosecco studio takeovers

Take over Studio 7 for a celebratory or a just-because-you-can workshop where you can relax with a glass of Prosecco and enjoy trying out a print technique. The workshop is held at The Conservancy Board Building on Rochester High Street. Home to Nucleus Arts and Café Nucleus, it's a beautiful, early 20th Century building with lots of original features.

The studio itself has been lovingly restored and you'll notice that it has an informal feel - there's a comfy Ercol chair, mohair cushions and rugs with some vintage touches and modern twists thrown in. This sets the scene perfectly for the workshop; the aim is for you and your friends to feel relaxed and enjoy playing with print or collage and experimenting with colour. After a glass of Prosecco and a short demonstration it's over to you to release your inner artist, but don't worry I’ll be on hand to guide and show you how to get the best out of your chosen printing technique.

It’s a 3 hour studio takeover and you can choose from:

Gelli printing create layered monotype prints onto paper and turn them into a concertina artist's book.

Linocut onto paper and greetings cards - learn how to transfer an image onto a linocut tile, carve it with specialist tools and print onto greetings cards.

Collage games have fun with timed challenges, childhood games with a twist and speedy collaborations.

For 2 - 6 people

Over 18s only

Studio takeovers are available on Thursday mornings (how decadent!) and Saturday afternoons but if you have a particular date in mind then please contact me and I'll see what I can do.
