Our Head Gardener will take you on a tour of the gardens where you’ll be able to gather flowers and leaves to use as inspiration for your print. After working these into a design you’ll learn how to transfer your image to a linocut tile and carve it using specialist tools. We will have ready made designs on hand that you can use if you would prefer.

Experiment by printing overlays in different colours onto paper and greeting cards. At the end of the workshop you will be able to take your linocut home to use again and again.

An experienced printer, Rachel will take you step by step from your initial design to that final professional looking print. All materials, printing equipment and refreshments are supplied. Please bring an apron or painting shirt and a sketch book and pencils. You will work on postcard size lino tiles (approx. 15cm x 10cm or 6” x 4”). Suitable for beginners or as a refresher course.
